Pros

Ford is a barely acceptable training path for a recent college grad. They allow new hires to learn in the field while transitioning into a desk role - and that's hard to find especially in the AV industry. I benefit at my current job due to this program. I feel I trauma bonded with coworkers who were in the same situation, and some of the project-based people were amazing pals. They taught me a lot and it hurt to see them taken advantage of by upper management. They deserve better.

Cons

Everything else. I didn't realize how bad this company was at the time (as a new grad), and in hindsight it's unbelievable. Micromanagement like I've never witnessed before or since. They ask you to review (tattle) on co-workers weekly, they track you via GPS in the cars and security cameras (I've literally seen them discipline employees for "not working hard enough" after spying via the security cameras), every single desk item like staplers are tracked, they make every person clock in/out and if you're 30min deficient they steal PTO from you regardless of overtime, it's insane. They are extremely cheap. They give you used shirts from former employees upon hire. They make lower ranking employees room together. They will take PTO, profit sharing, and prevailing wages whenever possible. If you break anything, it's taken from your profit sharing. And profit sharing is 100% luck and not performance based. The pay is significantly below market average for most roles. The upper management is horrific and will verbally put down employees and lie to your face instead of being honest. I saw a coworker in tears after told they "weren't good enough" for a promotion, when they were clearly overqualified. It was a lie to keep them in an understaffed, crucial, lower paying role. The culture feels like the higher ups (who are in their own entitled club) almost want you to bow whenever they walk past and thank them for employing you. It's that bad. This is an old fashioned company tripling down on their worst business practices instead of treating employees with basic compensation and respect.
