Extremely Toxic - Avoid!

Pros

There are none. Don't be fooled by anything they say to recruit you.

Cons

There is not enough white space to detail how toxic and badly broken ForeScout is. From DeCesare's cronyism culture to the cutthroat back-stabbing Machiavellian management, and the revolving door of people in between, IMHO I've never seen a more dysfunctional organization.

Recent reviews are misleading - most likely by management request

Pros

The company has a legacy of forethought on the product side, and some very smart engineers in Tel Aviv. They've learned how to take NAC, an otherwise 'meh' technology and turn it into something truly innovative.

Cons

The worst move that the Board could have made was bringing in the new C-levels, and particularly the ones they chose. With the exception of the CSO, they are a bunch of arrogant, narcissistic clowns. Bringing them on demonstrated a clear lack of judgement in my opinion, and they are in the game for one thing and for one thing only - personal gain. They don't care about the legacy employees, with the exception of the yes people they have poached from their previous companies.

This place is a hot mess

Pros

I've been working at ForeScout for 8 months and unfortunately there not many pros of working here. I REALLY wish I would have listened to the reviews below before coming on board. BUT there are a few positives: - Higher compensation than most tech companies I've worked for. - Pretty decent benefits and 401k program. - A few cool people in each department, but a lot of terrible people too. - Cool office space (that they spent way too much money on since no one is ever in the office. The place is a ghost town). - Free snacks and drinks - Yay! - Work/life balance is okay.

Cons

If you are trying to decide whether or not to apply here or accept your offer, don't apply and shred your offer and look elsewhere. Like I said before, I should have listened to the reviews below. Every 5 star review is written by HR to help increase their poor rating, which at one point was in the 2's. - Widespread arrogance, politically charged environment. If you aren't part of MD's clique, forget about moving up within the company. - Tons of money spent on parties no one wants to go to. - Very poor leaders that don't listen to their employees. 95% of them think they are greatest thing to ever walk the earth. - Lack of career advancement paths - Very poor communication within departments, especially within marketing and sales. - Product can't compete with Cisco
