Pros

Well employees are leaving the company so more room for us, I guess.

Cons

Since September 2019, 9 employees have quit FormFire so far, including a VP of Operations who had been with this company for 10 years, a Director and the rest were from engineering team and more will follow. So, now FormFire have to spend money to fill all those positions, unless management thinks they never needed those resources. I have heard from others that a couple of developers had create and maintained the application for years. But the new CTO found the application completely dysfunctional and decided to rewrite it. And this time he decided to hire an Indian company to do the job. Under the CTO’s supervision this Indian company has been working for more than a year to rewrite a part of the application without an ounce of deliverable so far. The must have spent tons of money on this project. Where did all that money go, well only the CTO knows. There is a big team dedicated to customer success. Nobody in the company knows what they do, not even the managing director or CTO. The leadership is absolutely clueless on how to run this team. Other than spending money on useless tools this team hasn't been able to do anything so far. The company lacks funds to hire decent engineers and I wonder how come the CTO gets to waste so much of company money. Salaries and other benefits are so bad that they takes several months to fill a single position.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. In January 2018, FormFire decided to invest in the future of our business, as our 10-year old application was in need of a refresh and upgrade. A project of this scope will take both internal and external resources to avoid overextending our engineering and IT departments while maintaining a fully functioning product to our customers. This is a major effort. Outsourcing partnerships bring both rewards and challenges – some lessons do get learnt along the way. We are continually monitoring and iterating arrangements to make the processes more effective and productive. These efforts have been detailed in our recurring company-wide update meetings. The Customer Success team was a new approach in having our customers get to better know and understand the value we bring them. Bringing this concept into our company - and our older ways of working - has proved more challenging than first thought. As of the writing of your feedback, I cannot fault that perspective, but I’m sure you now find things to be different. Please talk to your coworkers or the Success team about it. Like all strong organizations, FormFire conducts market surveys and research with respect to salaries. The skillsets we are seeking are heavily sought after and its challenging to fill these positions in a timely fashion due to competition for candidates. On the questions you raise about investing. As part of the FormFire team you are part of our investment/ownership scheme – at no cost to you. You are right though, how and where you invest your money is between you and your beliefs. Our current investors seem happy with their choice. All employees at FormFire are encouraged and welcome to share their opinions and suggestions on these or any other items. Your manager or any member of the Executive team is open to hearing them. Please talk to your coworkers if you are unsure on how to proceed in getting your thoughts heard.
