Pros

When it was a great place to work, it was a fantastic experience. Wonderful, curious, smart colleagues, freedom of speech and thought. Faithful dedication to doing what was best for clients.

Cons

A sad sad place — sacrificing authentic thought leadership and empathetic customer and employee care to ego, materialism, self aggrandizement and glorification of past perceived greatness.

Time for The CEO to go

Pros

Great people, interesting work, good pay and benefits

Cons

George Colony isn't the leader he used to be. He's gotten more out of touch and has made more bad decisions. His latest decision to add a third mandatory office day is a disaster and his town hall meeting made it WAY worse because he had no answers to serious questions. All he had was condescension and words without meaning. He obviously didn't really think about this decision before he made it. He's doing more things this way now, making decisions that are out of touch and planned badly. I've been at Forrester for years but I updated my LinkedIn profile and I'm looking for a new job.

Hard to believe what happened to the company

Pros

Great, smart, driven coworkers. The overall work environment is healthy, with most day to day experiences pleasant and a strong work/life balance.

Cons

Over 7 years at the company it became apparent to me that the executive team, and CEO in particular, are lost. Ever year there's another massive, exhausting initiative that is going to "revolutionize the company". I find I spend as much time managing rushed, poorly understood change as I do with my core role. The CEO seems to rule by fiat. Turnover in the c-suite has been very high, and many of the new executives do not seem to share Forrester's core values. The dishonesty of the most recent head of HR was particularly egregious.
