Pros

Fortrea is agile….though mostly in one very specific way: reorganizing. If you enjoy watching management and org charts get reshuffled every six months, they’ve mastered that kind of nimbleness. Beyond that, don’t expect meaningful agility in operations, decision-making, or delivery.

Cons

The organization is now full of “turtles on fence posts” people perched in senior roles (ED, VPs) without a clear path or experience that justifies how they got there. Meanwhile, the real fires, the operational issues that directly affect clients and delivery, continue burning unchecked under them. Leadership is disconnected from the actual problems happening on the ground.

Pros

Good benefits Interesting work Good time off policy Good pay

Cons

IT is non responsive and not in the US Spin off managed really poorly so there are so many systems issues that never get addressed People get laid off suddenly Expense reporting policies and procedures are impossible to follow, new system is somehow even harder and more tedious than the last system Bonus stopped No per diem for food, now we need receipts even less than $25 Pointless emails from upper management Not getting new business so who knows if I’ll have a job tomorrow Contracts written so poorly that it makes my job harder Told not to bill client for client-specific work

Pros

Flexible time off because you do not have a set amount that you can use like PTO. You have unlimited time off if you are salary. Project teams are supportive and nice

Cons

Layoffs recently occurred where project coordinators were impacted, and they were required to train newly hired personnel to take over their jobs because they can pay the newer team members less money. You do not have Worklife balance because the workload is extensive. No training class available where you can learn in a classroom setting. You learn on the go and by online learning courses No merit increase Frequent changes in executive leadership
