It isn't really a downside just a fact of working in Human Services. There is a lot of trauma when working with people, It is just important to communicate with your supervisor and practice self care.

They are not detailed with interview/reference checks, so if you have a lot of barriers, it will be easy to gain employment with them

Cons

Understaffed to work/caseloads are overwhelmed and poor response time (if at all) from mid-management in Madison.
