Pros

Great coworkers and decent pay

Cons

Hard to get bathroom breaks, bonuses removed if you get sick which disincentivizes germ spread reduction. I was shamed for going home with the flu. I saw a training employee forced out of program for not complying with dress code despite pleading religious accomodation.

Pros

the pay is good for the position, and the people at this location are great. some opportunities for further training and pay increases are available as well. The pool is indoors and is kept very warm. good support is available from leadership if you get challenging students. Additionally weekday pay is $20/hour and weekend pay is around $23/hour. Also if you take a substitute shift, that's an extra $1/hour.

Cons

its really difficult to get a schedule of more than twenty-ish hours per week. They keep all of their instructors part time due to the physical demand of the job (its not that bad). of course they are usually in need of substitutes, so it is possible to up your hours that way, just not guarenteed

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We're glad to hear that you’re enjoying the pay, the team, and the support from leadership. It’s also great to know that the pay structure for weekdays, weekends, and substitute shifts is working well for you. We understand the concern about part-time hours and appreciate your feedback on this. While the teaching role is intentionally part-time to help prevent burnout—since working in the water can be physically demanding over long periods—we recognize that some team members may want more hours. Opportunities for growth, such as our customer support specialist position or exploring different leadership positions, can help increase your hours and allow for more involvement within the company. Regarding your feedback about professionalism, we’re glad that the environment allows for positive relationships between coworkers and management. We’re always working to maintain that balance between a relaxed atmosphere and professionalism. Thank you again for your review! If you ever want to discuss ideas or opportunities in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We're happy to support you in your journey with us!
