I just hit my one year at Foss! and the St. Paul Foss specifically, has some of the nicest most understanding staff I have ever encountered. Everyone is there for one another, if you need help- you get it, and its more than just at work. The Director is a extremely understanding of circumstances, and its very much an environment where everyone lifts each-other up, helps each-other out. They operate as a team, and it helps keep the kids happy, the parents happy, and the teachers and TAs confident in their skills and abilities. Having such a positive environment effects more than just the work-life balance.

Cons

The only downfall I can think of is it being part time because you spend the majority of the shift in a pool, that and chlorine doing what chlorine does best and drying absolutely everything out. They do provide conditioner and shampoo that specializes in getting the chlorine off your skin and hair.

Very satisfying and fulfilling work. Many amazing coworkers and direct managers.

Cons

Benefits aren’t worth the money. Being in a pool for 20+ hours a week is hard on the skin and body. You will be sick almost every single time a new quarter starts.
