Not at all a good place

Pros

Only few projects are good in terms of quality of work

Cons

Middle management is waste - they don't have any knowledge but would interfere in each and every thing. Resignation is the tool people use to go up - whether its promotion, band change or onsite opportunity. There is no proper skill set mapping. There is no transparency in the system. Decisions are taken higher up and people at analyst level don't even know what is happening. At times it feels like it is purely a BPO, a service provider. They talk about innovation but hardly 5% of work has innovation.

Pros

-Awesome CEO, genuinely works hard and puts efforts to take everything to next level -Company recording terrific growth, expanding well -Excellent learning options, good place to build skill sets. Lot of good training's I had the best learnings here analytics wise, i made sure i keep learning from people kept asking kept talking to people made sure i know whats going on in other projects. If you have the drive learning can be phenomenal. Thanks to the CEO's vision. -I had the chance to work on some great projects, i am grateful

Cons

-Flexible timings, so if you are going to be at an analyst or senior analyst level its bad. Beacuse managers who are onsite will treat you like a s--lave and expect you to work late even on a Friday night, 4th of july which happens to be a US holiday. Because they pay you and you are a slave. On an average flexible timings end up making you work more than 10 hrs -Recently at a fresher party in delhi office, there were drinks(commissioned by a very senior person) in the house and on the house and it the end things like guys were forcing girls to drink and making lewd comments. Yes this happened in office premises. -Middle management bad, they think they are Ram Charan's and Vikram Pandit and know it all. Its just not in sync with what the client expects. -Fractal itself doesnt think high of itself when being direct to a client. We follow whatever the client says is right! No its not i have the data to prove it, no i wont give the recomendation so that client is happy coz its not true! But because we want to make client happy we will do it. If you want to be mckinsey bloooody gawdaaaam act like it. -Like when theres a client coming to office we make sure we get the best cuisines and food but we got no money for annual party which we skipped last year etc -Startup culture(so bad, like a duplicate google! Be google or else dont try). Be professional, be an epitome of professionalism -Half the projects are just template refreshing, good luck if you get stuck -Fractal does chindigiri, makes client bill for 4 people and in actual will put just 3 people on projects. Leads to mismatch between expectations, people on project gets frustated -HR's think they are kings and rule the company. Can all of us take a moment to read an awesome article which came out, saying why their should be no HR department? -When i joined, the HR's forced me to write a good review on this site and thats why Fractal has so many good ratings. Their view was freshers joining read it and its motivating. -60-80% crowd IITians so girls if you hear guys staring at you or lewd comments i am sorry. Sorry but this is true. Yes fractal did fire a couple of people or more, but does that solve the problem? -I will write more soon, the truth nothing else.

Fractal Response

Hi there, We are shocked to hear of the alleged behaviors at Fractal. We take your review very seriously, because if true, not only it is completely unacceptable behavior, it is a clear violation of our client principles, people principles as well as common decency. If, as an employee, you had knowledge of something like that happening, it would have been much better if you would have reported it to HR or the CEO in private as opposed to splashing it in public. I have personally investigated the matter and have interviewed multiple people; and while there was a party, I have not found any indication of anything wrong that happened. Would it be possible for you to write to me directly so we can investigate further? Regards, Amit Johari SVP & Chief People Officer Fractal Analytics
