Predictable company, great for people who don't like change

Pros

Good health benefits, work-life balance, PTO package for new permanent employees is very generous. Starting salary is fair but will not go up much from there...

Cons

You must work several months to earn a permanent position, little room for promotion as the management positions are taken by long-time employees of 20+ years. The company is large and corporate so it is very difficult to make any changes or suggestions to current processes and plans. The work for paralegals is extremely repetitive and specialized so that you will not appeal to other immigration firms.

Pros

Work-life balance is ok, I would not call it great. The leadership is very hands (in a good way) on but stuck in old ways at times. There are constant possibilities for trainings and growth with tools and seminars.

Cons

There is a lot of segregation between teams and various types of employees. The initial onboarding processes are not efficient and often train employees in tools they might not use or have access to.

Short hours, 7.5...so where are all the 'hard-working' people if they are having the April blitz and needed to hire extras?. Nice building.

Cons

I've NEVER been fired in my long career but after reading the other reviews, this looks like par for the course with this company and I could have written those other reviews as my own. I knocked out the paperwork in a few minutes, very easy to do, just idiot work filling out process stuff and I begged for more but they didn't have it. Ended up with grunt work. Very strange experience. If you aren't a 'kid' and 'ethnic' I think you won't fit in. Every time I went by people in their cubes they were playing on their cell phones or with dolls or something. I'm there to work.
