Pros

-Opportunities for growth and development -Plentiful training -Very structured team organization -Efficient allocation of cases and duties

Cons

-EXTREMELY understaffed to the point that employees are performing double the workload. Very poor work-life balance -Company clearly looks out for its own interests, making it difficult to form any loyalty or attachment to one's position -Lack of internal leadership, as it often feels like the day is spent resolving one emergency after another without any clear insight into future goals or ways to prevent such emergencies -Clients are extremely demanding. This is compounded by the fact that FDBL is unable to deliver on promised timelines due to staffing shortages. This leads to increased tensions between FDBL and the companies, resulting in rushed cases, stress (= lower employee morale), and excessive overtime

Pros

Large organization *does* give some internal flexibility to move around.

Cons

Very little focus on employee welfare, abysmal HR department, events thrown for employees are on-site, with a 'pot-luck' system (v. rare to have food brought in). Pay is poor, morale is poor, no real corporate culture, head management uses employees as means to an end, and doesn't hide this fact. Rampant favoritism for certain employees who contribute *very* little to the organization.

Pros

Decent salary, nice coworkers (the ones who are also low-level worthless human beings in the eyes of the company), ...free coffee, ...downtown location is kind of nice?

Cons

The attorneys have their noses so high up in the air that they literally walk by admins without even acknowledging that they're alive. I'm surprised they don't walk straight through them. As many others have described the work, it is admin sweat shop style labor. They hire a bunch of people with at least a bachelors degree, many with masters, and expect them to feel good about working (and perform well) for a company that treats them like imbeciles.
