Pros

The pay is competitive, the firm provides good health coverage options and a good amount of time off for new associates; the rotation program is great for new graduates still figuring out the world of accounting; lots of organic growth in terms of client acquisition, and partners work hard to ensure staff aren't overwhelmed; decent flexibility when it comes to working from home/remotely and great office locations

Cons

Long hours around standard accounting cycle busy seasons

Pros

Great Firm Environment. Perks- Office and Firm-wide deadline parties, firm wide holiday party, and many other office parties. Flexible work schedule depending on role/department. Nice firm overall from partners, managers, and staff. Never ending work depending on department admins assist or work with. Working and the support of the admin team. Overtime (only during busy season). Free meals during busy season.

Cons

Not much room for growth in the firm for administrative staff in the SF office. You can become stagnant within certain admin roles. If you happen to support the tax group during busy season expect long hours and weekend work. Pay is average-low end, depending on background and experience. What one admin is allowed may not be allowed for you. Work is often not challenging after while of course depending on department and duties.

Pros

- The people at the firm are genuinely friendly and easy to talk to. - Management at the firm care about employees professional development - Most managers treat lower level employees with respect and actively engage with employees outside of work. - Generous PTO with option to earn 2 additional weeks. - Competitive salary for public accounting at the associate level. Busy season bonus available based on hours worked.

Cons

- Busy season hours are long, albeit slightly better than Big 4 firms - The firm should do more to more closely match salary increases with Bay Area high cost of living. - Firm’s benefit plan could be improved by including gym and cell phone subsidy to match larger firms - Salary raises and bonus should be tied more to performance. Most people get the same raises. Not enough distinction in pay to properly and fairly recognize high performers.
