It is evident the company does not care about any ones wellbeing

Doesn’t care about people You’re not a person, you’re a number. As a manager pay is very low. New hires are given far better pay than loyal associates. Zero work life balance. You die with the store. Who cares about your family, your own life, your mental health. Management is a crap shoot, all comes down to the individual. And even then, Kroger wants A-holes for managers. Not people with heart. Publicly traded stocks so everything they do is for the shareholders, bottom line. Not for the employees. Unrealistic expectations. I had one of my store managers pull me in the office and ream me about the fact that I called in a couple days because of the snow being too bad for me to get to work, in my COROLLA. Even with snow tires it was too dangerous and I’d driven to work in the snow in that car for years. The higher up in management beyond my level of department manager, the more out of touch they become. Executives are nuts, they demand and demand and demand but give nothing in return. You put on these dog and pony shows for store walks with executives that are so unrealistic. The every day conditions are NEVER that good and yet every store does the same song and dance. It’s honestly toxic and literally insane.
