Pros

A few good coworkers and free drink and food in the kitchen.

Cons

I worked at Fuhu for 2+ years and here's my experience: Company Culture The Fuhu culture is like the mafia.  The head of the mafia is Robb Fujioka, Don Corleone if you will with out the charisma nor the wisdom.  Robb is the nucleus of Fuhu and is surrounded by his goons, A.K.A partners/managers.  As an employee of Fuhu, you are either in the inner circle where you have protection and privilege or you are not and be subjected to disrespect and arrogance from the managers. Common employees are told to be obedient and submissive.  If you are a yes-man, you will flourish at Fuhu, however, if you challenge the inner circle's thinking or decision, you'll be dealt harshly: reprimand from the manager, reprimand from the manager and Robb, or termination of employment. As a result, the atmosphere of the company is gloomy and fearful.  It's no wonder the turn-over rate at Fuhu is extremely high and worker satisfaction is extremely low. The Work Working hour is long and the pay is relatively low.  Average day of work starts at 9AM and ends... There's no overtime pay even tho employees need to clock-in in the morning, clock in/out for lunch, and clock out when the day ends. Paid time off is abstract because you have unlimited vacation days; after two years, you'll equate unlimited vacation to no vacation. Nothing is scheduled at Fuhu.  When Robb has an idea, a project starts.  No project planning, no sprint planning, no resource planning, no nothing.  However, there's always an unrealistic deadline that gets pushed back as you go. There are project managers (coordinators) for each department.  Tech team has a few, creative team has a few.  All the project managers manages in silos and completely uncoordinated with the rest of the company.  As a result, no one knows what's going on and where the project is at. Because there's no project planning, every once in awhile, Robb will have new ideas he wants to inject into the project.  As it's very common that the project you started is not the project you are working on a month later. The Management Robb micro-manages everything: from what product to do to what color an icon to use to who should clean up the coffee stains in the carpet.  Robb needs to micro-manage everything because he has a group of loyal yet incompetent managers. These managers have no management experience, they are promoted managers because they do what Robb asks.  Fuhu managers lack professionalism where they resolve conflicts by going to Robb instead of working things out.  Fuhu managers lack leadership because the way they persuade you to do something is by telling you "Robb wants it this way."  Fuhu managers lack integrity because they will always find an escape goat to get them out of trouble.  Basically Fuhu lacks management. Business Ethics What ethics?  This firm lacks ethics. Employees are encouraged to find competitor products and "just re-skin it".   Nothing in Fuhu product line is unique, all of them are copy cat products Fuhu ripped from competitors. Fuhu's business ethic is so bad that they instructed the managers to write false 5 stars reviews on Glass Door trying to bury the negative reviews and skew the overall company rating.  How do I know?  Fuhu had a consistent low rating of 1.8 stars for 2+ years, and then, in the course of a few days, a flood of 5-star reviews came in rising the rating to almost 4 stars. Despicable action that's inline with Fuhu's culture. In Conclusion I've worked at start-ups and fortune 500 companies and never have I experience a company as indifferent to their employees well-being as Fuhu.  My experience at Fuhu taught me how spot bad companies in the future. !!AVOID FUHU AT ALL COSTS!!

Pros

NONE!!! They take away the pleasure of working in the field through micromanagement! Wait....you do get to "borrow" cool gadgets for use in the field. But they ask you to purchase alot and wait for reimbursement.

Cons

No PTO which they tell you upfront, but they don't tell you they also do not compensate for bad weather days which in field work is IMPORTANT! - Inexperienced and inefficient managers will micromanage, but rarely give criticism. Instead they fire you without notice and without any corrective action policies in place this is the norm. By this I mean my District Manager visited me and gave a glowing review during her ride along (2 days time) and then I was fired on a 3-way call a week later! Never had I been told there were any issues with my performance. Great thing was I hated the job and the day before I was fired I interviewed for my current position. -They track you using an app...this would be fine if it always works, but it doesn't and you may be fired as a result like one of my coworkers. -Low pay ($17 an hour or less) for the tasks involved which includes conducting formal training and running tables at events. You are hourly. NO OVERTIME ALLOWED!! You must clock in and out for EVERYTHING! - Your stores may be 100 miles away. Unlike other field positions, there is no predetermined/uniform travel radius. Your mileage is NEVER PAID ON TIME!!!

Pros

- Free snacks. - I have no other pros to mention.

Cons

Where to begin... I had to post this review since the 5 star reviews are fake. I knew a few people who wrote them. Some were forced to write them by the upper management. - I gave it 1 star because I had , or else it would be 0 stars - Useless long hours. Even if your work is done at 6, you need to stay until 7:30-8 or else you're branded as "Not being Committed". If you argue with them, you're out. - Most managers have little, if not, no experience and obey the founder without question. - The founder is the ultimate ruler and decision maker. Disagree with him, and you're out! - The last 5 star review mentioned big raises... that's the biggest lie. You'll work 50-60h weeks with no yearly bonuses and definitely no large raises. - A LOT of brainwashing. The founder likes to hire people that he can mold and manipulate into his own style of manager. - Very submissive employees. Most of them are foreigners on visas, that can easily be manipulated. - Extremely disorganized company. No skilled or experienced Project Manager would last here. Timelines are asked to be created but are never followed. Major changes happen everyday without the PM's knowledge, and the PM's are always to blame. - The day I left, was one of the happiest days of my life. Current employees were actually congratulating me for leaving.
