Wonderful people but poor culture....to unstable

Pros

Fujitsu has lots of pros in regards to technology and future possibilities! I’ve worked full-time for 5 years. Wonderful co-workers and mid level management. Great work life balance. The first 3 years many of us developed fantastic careers and thrived. The culture was about developing and sustaining good talent. Managers mentored and engaged their employees.

Cons

The past 2 years significant changes and people passing the buck on failures has created major issues within the company. Loss of business being the main issue. Employees who once thrived either lost their jobs or terrified they are next. Cutting staff and good people for management failures is not good culture. Zero communication. And the feeling you are no longer valued after years of dedication. This isn’t dead weight. These are people working multiple jobs to help keep the train on the tracks. Now too many people are stretched way too thin.

Pros

Cannot think of any. Need honest mgmt team leads on projects. Too many of them make stuff up without knowing the technicalities of the project.

Cons

It all depends on who you get as project team lead. Some are real horrible. Make up stuff to mislead client and if you tell them otherwise, they try to cut you off project. Prob that’s why they usually get low end clients who also don’t have much brains in mgmt. to work with.

Pros

A positive is that they never stop trying to find a combination of organizational changes, leadership changes, and core direction changes that will make them competitive and profitable. That's commendable.

Cons

Fujitsu America has been trying different combinations of organizational changes, leadership changes, and core direction changes in their IT Services industry for the 7 years I was there. However, they have lost old and new customers to the point where their customer base is not large enough to support growth in this highly competitive industry. Competing against Microsoft and Amazon for Cloud customers hasn't been working.
