Pros

At one time, was a fun and positive place to work. Customers can be really fun to interact with.

Cons

Upper middle management is constantly threatening everyone's jobs. Their policies and procedures change weekly. Drug use and alcohol abuse are rampant among all levels of employees, from newbies to upper management. It's a very toxic environment and continues to become moreso as management continues to walk through the revolving door. Upper management has either never been under the hood in a shop, or it's been so long that they've completely lost touch with reality. They took away sales bonuses for techs and didn't believe in raises, so the bare minimum effort is given. The doors are operating with inadequate tools and equipment. Everything is always "shoot me an email and we'll get that fixed", but that never happens. The only thing FSA cares about, and I mean the ONLY THING, is their bottom line. Not you, not the horrid conditions of the shops, not your safety. In one breath, they tell you to not give any coupons or discounts and in the next they tell you they just had a giant $25 off coupon drop. It doesn't matter what you do, because if you happen to clear the unattainable sales goals, they increase them so much, that you'll never meet the metrics again. The training is an absolute joke all done by CBT. Most managers don't understand how labor, sales, and inventory affect their performance or bonus. Shop managers are working 6 or 7 days a week, open to close, for substandard salaries.

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback about your experience at FullSpeed Automotive. We appreciate your perspective as a long-term team member and value the insights you’ve provided—both the positives, like your enjoyment of customer interactions, and the challenges you’ve outlined. We take your concerns very seriously, particularly regarding workplace culture, communication, and resource availability. Micromanagement, inconsistent policies, and lack of support are not the standards we strive for, and we apologize for the frustration this has caused. Ensuring a safe, respectful, and well-equipped work environment is a priority, and we are actively reviewing these issues with leadership. Regarding compensation and bonuses, we understand how critical fair incentives are to morale and performance. We are reassessing our structures to better align with the hard work and dedication of our technicians and managers. Your feedback about training, tools, and management turnover is especially valuable as we work on improvements. We encourage you to reach out to HR or your regional manager directly so we can address your specific concerns and discuss how we can make meaningful changes. Pros

The job environment CAN be fun.

Cons

The pay is laughable. New bonus plan includes spiffs that management does not qualify for, although we are expected to talk and sell to each customer. Managers expected to work long hours with no flexibility. Centers open 8am to 7pm now, you will be expected to be there open to close. Previously they were open until 6pm which makes a lot more sense since most centers don't get cars after 6pm. I spent the past year barely having time to make dinner for my family and only really seeing my toddler to drop them off at childcare and then put them to bed. There is no work life balance whatsoever. If you are a female I would steer clear. I was 100% discriminated against because of my gender. They also state there is a zero tolerance policy for retaliation, this is utterly and completely false. And after quitting I have had a few of my peers come forward and tell me my direct supervisor was telling them we were having relations. I have no doubt I spent the better part of the last two years being the butt of a joke I wasn't in on. I spent almost 4 years total with the company putting my heart and soul into my job with absolutely no reward. There is NO accountability past center managers. District, regional, and so forth can and will do whatever they please. I also know of several occurrences in which other female employees were sexually harassed to severity and they were literally told to shut up and do their job or they would be fired. This is not the way zero tolerance works. Zero tolerance is not in place to punish the victim. Do not take a job in QUICK LUBE that requires you to work 12+ hours a day. It is not worth it whatsoever.

Thank you for sharing your experience—we take your feedback very seriously, and we sincerely apologize for the challenges you faced during your time with FullSpeed Automotive. What you’ve described falls far short of the respectful, fair, and supportive workplace we strive to provide, and we are deeply sorry for the impact this had on you. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or retaliation of any kind, and it’s unacceptable that your concerns were not properly addressed. We are reviewing our reporting processes, including our anonymous HR voicemail system, to ensure all employees feel safe and heard. If you’re willing, we’d like to learn more about your experience to take appropriate action—please contact [HR email/phone]. We recognize that the demands placed on center managers, including long hours and inadequate compensation, are unsustainable. We’re actively reevaluating scheduling, bonus structures, and leadership accountability to better support our teams. No employee should ever feel targeted or disrespected. We’re committed to investigating these allegations thoroughly and holding leaders accountable at every level. Your feedback has been escalated to senior leadership, and we’re reinforcing training on our policies to prevent future issues. We appreciate your years of dedication and regret that we failed to provide the positive experience you deserved. If there’s more you’d like to share, we’re here to listen. Thank you for holding us to a higher standard—we’re determined to improve.
