Pros

I get a chance to work with some very talented people. The vibe there is great. I have had a chance to learn some new skills and they have gone out of there way to give me the opportunity to use what I have learned.

Cons

They are based out of Santa Cruz and so the pay is a bit low. Some of there processes are being reworked so there are times when it feels a little chaotic but the improvements are starting to take shape.

Pros

Great company located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz. Stock options, Wednesday night sailing, great projects, family friendly office, and dog friendly as well! Its hard not to love where you work when you have such great coworkers and are allowed to bring your pup to work.

Cons

It is a start up so be prepared to work hard and also be self driven. It does pay off in the end!

Thanks for your suggestion! We've taken this to heart, and we are actively planning more team building activities. We recently took the entire team out for lunch and an afternoon of bowling, and we have several additional events in the works including a day at the beach and an afternoon of whale watching. And of course there is a weekly opportunity to get out on the water for sailing!

Pros

Everyone is friendly except the upper management. Very interesting work and you have lots of power on how to develop a project at first. If you're a dev most likely you'll control a project for that Platform.

Cons

When deadlines come up and you become the focus of upper management to produce something micromanagement becomes a huge issue. Their is really no promotion or raises. You'll be underpaid if you're young. If you want to feel unappreciated this is a great place. There is no incentive to perform better, coasting pays the same as working hard. The CFO is horrible, he talks about having to care about other employees like you're not part of that group.
