Cons

False promises about pay, territory, and promotion occurred constantly. If you tell me something is going to happen, be truthful and not hide behind "corporate decisions changing"

Family Owned Company with lots of opportunity

Pros

Family owned company with job security which is rare in today’s society. Plenty of training opportunities and career paths. Most employees are positive and upstanding people as the organization promotes those with values aligned with the company.

Cons

Expectation to work at or close to capacity at times. Employee titles are not aligned with industry norms. People of similar value and responsibilities at other companies are generally one to two titles above the similar positions at Gallo (I.e. a Gallo Director is a VP title at others in the industry). Employees are sometimes compensated based on historic norms of the positions instead of the value provided by the employee or position.

Pros

Depending on your department, the policies around in-office hours are fairly flexible and adaptable to fit hour schedule. The workload is very heavy, but allows for employees to move up the ladder faster. The people are what keep me around

Cons

The company says they value diversity and inclusion, but I haven’t seen it. Senior leadership is all white men and very few people of color or with diversity in thought/education/experience. Over the years the culture has changed a lot with leadership prioritizing money over its employees and conversations in meetings can easily turn negative or accusatory. I don’t see it improving any time soon without a change in leadership.
