Pros

They pay pretty decent wages, Over time is almost always available if you want it, union raises every year.

Cons

fast management turnover, can make the flow of the job more difficult, Health benefits are not cheap and have much do be desired in the way of how much comes out of pocket for appointments, especially if you have kids. company 401k contribution is on the lower side, but not terrible. Recognition is almost non existent. They have programs in affect for recognition, but team leaders refuse to use them for the union employees, but you see them used frequently for the salaried employees. Under performers get recognition when they meet basic standards and over achievers are expected to over achieve at all times without recognition. This makes morale low and ruins some peoples work ethic.

Pros

Great people, supportive environment, educational resources and opportunities based on department, excellent training, process-oriented. Good benefits package.

Cons

Corporate office is in Modesto, CA which is about 1.5 hours from Bay Area so the commute is long. Despite some employees living in the Bay Area, they are typically paid a Modesto wage. Some work-from-home freedom but mostly hybrid or in-office. Growth opportunities for mid-level employees is lacking.

Pros

If you are interested in learning or moving on to other roles within the company, your manager will work to develop a plan to prepare you for that role. You are able to grow your career within the company. You are not stuck in your current position.

Cons

There is now specified days you have to come in to work and days you are allowed to work from home. The Company should allow us to decide when we want to work from home and when to come in to the office (still adhering to working from home 2 days a week and coming into the office 3 days a week). The Company allows others to be fully remote (working in a different state) while it is mandatory for other people in the office to come in.
