Good job but some problems

Pros

I like the 2-2-3 schedule - gives time for your family. This was something that I didn't know I missed in my old job until I realized that my daughter was grown and leaving for college. I like the culture. Gallo is also very family oriented. New/ beautiful facility.

Cons

I like the culture that we started with, but that is fading by the month - new hires don't share the same culture that was instilled in the original employees. Pay is mediocre. I have been there over a year and have not received any pay increase that was promised. Didn't even receive a cost of living increase this year. I took a $6/hr cut in pay to work here with the belief I would be getting a decent pay increase when we started production. Leadership is lacking - some shifts get away with doing nothing while the "better" shifts get stuck taking up the slack because some shifts can't be trusted to do their job without screwing up. Healthcare cost is outragious - almost 3x what I was paying at my old job. 401K match is mediocre.

Cons

An area manager said they governed their employees by the carrot or “whip” and as a black male I felt uncomfortable with this quote.
