Pros

The culture is what sold me. I've worked for more than a handful of companies and organizations in my career and GBA, by far, is one of the best in making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. It's only been a month, but every person I meet is not only exceptional at what they do, but an exceptional person who treats you with respect.

Cons

I feel the overall benefit package is where GBA is most lacking, but I say that with the caveat that the benefit package is still far above average than with most companies. This area is currently being massaged as I write this review, so in a few months, this point may be moot.

Pros

Company is made of up small satellite offices with a base main office in Lenexa, KS. Each satellite office tends to have its own work culture and industry specialization. This means that if an employee doesn't feel like they fit in their current office or is looking to change specializations there are options within the organization. There are also plenty of opportunities for career advancement and GBA usually promotes internally.

Cons

Since the office work cultures are so varied across the company employee experiences can be a mixed bag. Expectations can be unclear at times and communication across different offices is often limited or difficult. Also, GBA does not seem to offer competitive pay rates when compared to industry standards. GBA is also hesitant to hire field technicians and so engineers will frequently have to do work normally handled by field technicians. Most of GBA's projects are field work based.

Insurance is based in Kansas, and does not provide the coverage or protections expected in Colorado.
