Pros

I was referred to GCG Financial from a friend that works there. I was very impressed by their recruiting process which did a great job of explaining the Financial Advisor career. They have a strong culture and teaming environment that leads to a very strong retention of their advisors.

Cons

It is a difficult career overall but feel strongly that GCG is a great firm to join and makes an investment in their advisors through financial compensation and training.

Pros

Working at GCG has been great so far. I have learned a lot of useful skills as an employee and have become a more organized and diligent worker. I am always busy doing something and have been given a nice amount of responsibility. This internship has definitely prepared me well for any future jobs I may seek.

Cons

One thing that can be improved is appearance. Work on how you are advertising to young people. It is important to be caught up with times of today and connect with future employers in a way that will really grab their attention and make this company stand out among others. This can mean getting a Twitter account, Facebook account or even redesigning the company webpage as a way to connect with college graduates who will hopefully be working for your company in the near future.
