Pros

* Pete Arduini is the CEO and president of GE Healthcare and he is move this new company in the right direction since it’s spinoff from GE a year ago. * Permissive time - meaning you have no set time for vacation, sick time or personal days. You simply ensure your tasks are in control and request time off and get your manager’s approval. * Some of the people are truly smart and great colleagues to work with. * great pay and bonuses * a global company that allow you plenty of opportunities to grow * GEHC has its own board of directors that has a central focus on all things healthcare to move the company forward and fast. * GEHC is only one year old as of January 4th and it continue to breakthroughs as a standalone company that’s different than the way GE is run.

Cons

* Still Great talented people are laid off at quarter end * Great performers may not see their merit increase and/or bonus implemented until mid year. * GE and GEHC have great benefits but they are EXTREMELY expensive when compared to competitors

Pros

Safety is truly a priority Quality is truly a priority Doing what is right is truly a priority If mistakes are made the focus is on recovery not blame

Cons

-Everyone is overloaded to the point it feels like half the people you talk to are on the verge of quitting. -The focus is on the financials of the year or the quarter, long term vision doesn't seem to be a priority -Very high turn over which causes a lot of the overloading. Anyone with any knowledge or experience is just swamped because they are out numbered 10-1 (This is not an exaggeration) -After all the turn over the business still does not take retention seriously. -Processes are very slow and don't work very well. -Departments are working against each other to protect themselves rather than as one team.
