      Accidently found a fantastic place to work!

      Pros

      After spending the first 15 years of my career working for a couple of the largest engineering companies, I stepped into a smaller/mid-sized engineering firm. Surprisingly, the bureaucracy, silos, and BS that I had become accustomed to were much less prevalent or virtually non-existent. The focus switched from counting profits to serving your clients and doing good work! GEI has its challenges like every firm, but management actually seem to care! Opportunity to own stock in the company! Great projects! Fantastic technical experts throughout the company! and Willingness to pursue opportunities with my clients regardless of location!

      I would love to be paid more, but who wouldn't.

      What a happy “accident” that you found us! We would like to think it was more than a happy “accident” and instead a testament to a strong match between your skills and experiences with our needs and culture uncovered during the interview process. We do focus on maintaining a company with minimal bureaucracy to support efficient delivery of value-added deliverables for our clients, along with a healthy and enjoyable environment for employees. Also, our culture is centered on partnership, which emphasizes collaboration throughout our platform. We have small to large project teams who team up across geographic boundaries every day to exceed client expectations, in addition to culture-based committees and other opportunities for our people to gather and get to know one another better. We believe creating opportunities for people to meet, form strong working relationship and collaborate on client opportunities, projects and other company initiatives maintains our culture and reduces silos. We enjoy creating a culture of autonomy and accountability to support our employees to be great consultants to our clients and great partners to one another. While doing great work for our clients and collaborating with wonderful colleagues, you can also enjoy the benefits of being an employee owner if you’re a regular part or full-time employee in addition to experiencing our comprehensive Total Rewards package.

      It is disappointing to hear your experience at GEI. We welcome people with disabilities at GEI and know we have many people with disabilities thriving as part of our valuable team today. If anyone with a disability isn’t getting what they need and they’ve tried discussing it with their supervisor, they are welcomed to and encouraged to contact a member of our People Team for assistance. Our People Team is experienced in supporting people with disabilities and would welcome a conversation to help address and overcome any concerns. Our DE+I committee sponsored activities have achieved participation by over half of our employees in the past year.
