GEICO has an insidious program wherein they recruit college students to volunteer, then offer them positions directly out of college. They fast track these young people with zero prior experience (so they don't know what a bizarre workplace it is), zipping them through the ranks toward management. So you might have been in a role for a year and a half, but a 22-year-old with no job experience is sitting next to you, idling away the mandatory couple of months in your role so that they can be your next supervisor. Because of this, many supervisors are immature, have no communication skills but think that they are "the cool one" because they talk with a TikTok influencer inflection (while not responding to your requests for assistance).
