I’m a 6 year employee with an excellent metric record. 3x GEICO Chairman. Given permission to move from Lakeland to Jacksonville during COVID given that I maintain my 4.6 - 4.8 out of 5 metrics. I have done that. New rule this June? You have to live within 50 miles of the co to work there. They will not allow me to work out of the Boat claims office here in Jacksonville. Even though the manager gave me permission to if they approved. They have not even offered me a position out here or another option. Just letting it sit in the air . So now I have to figure out how to take care of my family after June 10th.

Many departments have had better performance since working from home and many of our biggest competitors offer permanent WFH positions. GEICO offered short term disability benefits for one year through the Hartford. Employees didn't have a good experience with the Hartford. Instead of using a different method to offer STD benefits, they eliminated STD altogether. GEICO used to offer profit sharing and has eliminated the profit sharing program with no type of bonus to replace it. Our CEO has received a 13.6 million salary two years in a row despite the company taking record losses in 2022. Sadly, GEICO is no longer the company it used to be.
