Pros

Flexible pto, decent pay, always hiring new people

Cons

Laid off tons of people, management doesn’t care about contractors, bad place for professional development and growth, updates new policies for employees almost every month & it gives employees a headache, most people are quitting and looking for new jobs due to toxic work environment, rude managers in most departments…beware

Pros

Supervisors are good people. Vast majority of attorneys are very talented and knowledgable. Attorneys are kind and supportive of each other. Great insurance benefits. Attorneys are friendly and courteous.

Cons

Pay is low. Attorneys have no time to use the best benefit which is good insurance coverage. Attorneys are not supported by appropriate staffing. Attorneys are undermined by lack of resources. Attorneys are not treated like professionals with doctorate degrees. One example is that attorneys are required to punch a time clock (e-mail supervisor when arriving and leaving) the office. These same attorneys work late most every evening and most weekends; but GEICO does not want to see a time clock for work after hours. Too much time is wasted on administrative matters. Training is poor in the introductory phase of the job.

Pros

You get a paycheck. No accountability, so if you’re clueless in your role - someone else will be delegated your work.

Cons

- Zero accountability. - Many are hired into roles they are not equipped for. Teams have too much dead weight. - Too many in middle management and managers of managers. Decision makers too far removed from those actually providing value. - Morale was worst of any workplace I have ever been in. High performers punished with more work, underachievers watch YouTube and hardly “work” 40 hours. - Your performance is linked to that of the team. Which makes sense, however too much incompetence in peers you have to cover to achieve personal success. - Management will text/call you any time of night. Zero work/life balance. Expect to be needed while on PTO. -
