Pros

The pay was what kept me there for a long time. Sick time and PTO are accrued separately. Buy up options in benefits such as additional life insurance, disability, etc.

Cons

You are not a real person but a number and you are dispensable. Metrics that change almost daily. Constant fear & anxiety of getting fired. Benefits are not what they used to be. GEICO is self insured for medical insurance so GEICO actually pays out the claims and CIGNA is the administrator. So they have increased premium prices, deductible, co-insurance, etc. Treated like a child with absolutely no freedom. GEICO is the glorified sweat shop so don't be fooled. No one knows what's going on, no communication at all on anything.

Pros

Salary offered matches market rate.

Cons

The Vulnerability Management team at Geico is one of the worst teams to be in. The environment is extremely toxic, extremely micromanaged, Employees are talked down to and disrespected by manager and team lead on a daily basis, Avoid at all cost if possible.

Pros

fantastic benefits, decent pay for no college degree. the opportunity to work from home if you were a high performer was available when I worked there. promotions were always from within and there are fantastic opportunities for career advancement into upper management where you can earn much better money than being on the phones, but you gotta slum it through being a CSR for at least 6mo first.

Cons

the job is disguised as a CSR job at first, assisting customers with policy changes, payments, etc. towards the end of training is when you're told that your major metric is to push the sale of new policies, and get them transferred to the sales department to sign them up for additional policies like home/renter's insurance, boat insurance, whatever. it's scummy and gross and you get punished/counseled if you don't get enough transfers. that is why the majority of people ended up quitting in my training class.
