Terrible sweat shop with zero ethics

The top people are rewarded for lying to business owners to get them in to a free luncheon meeting. the sad thing is that the meeting hosts are all very competent professionals with a dynamite presentation. but the attendees are fed so many lies to get them in the door that the close rate is not what it should be

Cons

The worst training and upper management I have ever experienced...REMEMBER "FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS " work at Gen Equity. there is NO opportunity to Advance , just an opportunity to be bullied and treated like crap by ineffective managers

Nothing. The CEO founded this business to fund his mega church.

Cons

There are zero ethics involved in this business. Most “managing directors” have inflated titles and don’t know the first thing about closing an honest deal. This company is focused on the upfront retainer fee which is given back to honest business owners upon a 4X EBITDA multiple.

Great exposure to sell side investment banking. Great work life balance with travel opportunities. Opportunity to move over to deal teams

Cons

Standard business broker. Sales guys "Senior Managing Directors" tell small business owners anything in order to walk out with a check leaving unrealistic expectations. Deal closing rates are far below other business brokers.
