Pros

Indoor office environment. Consistent hours. Flexible start/end time.

Cons

Low Salary. Very difficult to obtain any substantial commissions. Bonuses are minimal. Micromanaged to an extreme. No opportunity at all for career advancement. Very little recognition when you do hit goals.

Thank you for posting your review. Many people enjoy the challenge of the role. However, it's not a fit for all people. Business Development by nature is demanding and requires a person willing to do what it takes to be successful. I know this review is your experience but it's not the truth for all of us here at Generaltional. We have great leaders who have advanced in the organization and would love to speak with you or any other applicant that may be considering applying for the role. Pros

Food weekly, Gift cards, and long breaks. a percentage of 401k matched by CEO.

Cons

No good benefits, Manipulation, They have some superiors there that will try to convince you not to go to HR and will fire you months later for going to them to avoid it looking like retaliation. Be careful

Pros

Base salary to train and start. Extensive training for one week. Professional offices.

Cons

Highly micromanaged down to the minute. Everyone is a robot. This is purely telemarketing with redundancy targeting mid market small business owners. You are not allowed to have out cell phones, the management is constantly watching you and running metrics and critiquing. It killed my personality and I am GOOD in sales but couldn't handle the stress and micromanagement to that degree.

I read your comment and felt the need to respond. First, sorry to hear that you had this type of experience. I have been working at Generational Equity for over 6 years and I’m currently in the same Senior Business Advisor role as you were. While no working environment is perfect, I can honestly say that for me, Generational has been an excellent place to work. In fact, I would say that this has been the best sales experience in my 30-year career. I hope wherever you land next will be a positive experience for you. And, if anyone is considering Generational Equity and wants to get an insider's opinion, I'm going to provide my number and name here: Blake 214-363-3167.
