Please speak to your manager, HR professional or someone senior directly with your concerns. GEP has grown expodentially because of our great people and because of the family type environment.

Pros

Nothing is beautiful about this company.

Cons

This company is toxic. They’ll fail you and then put the blame on you. If you are new and need guidance, forget about getting it. You’ll sink. Most ppl don’t last two years here. Run and run fast as you can.

Pros

- Like minded peers and seniors - Nature of long client engagements makes clients very dependent on GEP, for work that is not related to consulting - Good recent exit opportunities to industry, top consulting firms, private equity for junior/mid-management employees

Cons

- Not a Consulting job. It is a contracting job, major offerings are Managed Services, BPO type staffing and Software. They advertise themselves as consulting in college recruitments but even GPTW/ Glassdoor have them listed as IT/Software services. Some good consulting projects with top companies exist but they are increasingly staffed with offshore resources - Negative revenue growth from the last few years. All profits from Consulting go to fix the broken Software division and the founder's pockets. Lot of pressure to sell, forgetting that people also need to deliver and focus on client work -Poor base salary and negligible increments with no sense of pay parity. Lot of partiality in pay to the "inner circle" with a flawed performance management system. No proper training, L&D is defunct and hopes people can learn on the job through LinkedIn Learning - HR Partners and Managers cannot look you in the eye when it comes to discussions on pay. The leadership in HR has historically never been someone from an HR or a people management background. A quick look-up on their previous roles in the company and one can decipher that they had/ have simply taken up the role as an interim or as an additional responsibility. - Project staffing is random and having a choice to join or roll off an account is a luxury at GEP limited to a few - They celebrate being a beautiful profitable company at company events and townhalls, and then layoff employees in the background and see >30% attrition rates. Their campus recruitment program is soon going to shut down as students from top schools decline the below market offer letters. - Market research and intelligence is often employees using google to provide clients with data as their internal knowledge services platform is broken and is never trustworthy. Few good SMEs exist in the company and are overwhelmed with the requests they get - Only a few tenured Vice Presidents in US/India are running the company. Lot of senior leaders who joined the company from top strategy firms cannot relate with the founder's approach of running the company. Almost all of the company's consulting leadership in Europe who joined from top strategy firms quit last year or were asked to leave
