Pros

You will be challenged as they work you to the bone. In that you break through in your career by being thrown in the deep end. Good stepping stone to get you the experience you need for better opportunities.

Cons

Sink or swim environment. Pay is terribly under-market, you are required to come in office which is such outdated thinking. Feels like they're making it up as they go and there's no real progressive strategy for improving things, just surviving another day.

Pros

Unfortunately, I can’t think of a single pro other than getting a paycheck.

Cons

GET READY! GFL will proudly drag you through the dirt, particularly the Hamilton Emergency Response Unit. During my employment, I documented over 10 HR related matters just in my own day to day job. GFL acquires companies, does zero due diligence to ensure these acquired mom and pop (trash!) companies are compliant with very basic, typical workplace policies such as harassment, bullying, professional communication and etiquette. This company is the definition of hiring unskilled boomers with zero education, awareness or professionalism. They will take advantage of you, and fire you 1 day before your probation ends. Absolutely NOT worth the stress.

Pros

Growing business and very fast paced environment, lots of opportunities to learn.

Cons

Employees are treated like garbage. Bosses always keep you under the gun. Very stressful environment and artificial deadlines are created just to over pressurize employees and make them work like a donkey. You can really see the stress on people's faces and nobody wants to even chat or socialize because they are under tremendous pressure and huge workload. Don't join this company if you already have a job (it will be a terrible mistake). Join this company only if you are currently jobless and in dire need of money (have run out of EI)!!!! period!!!!
