Pros
Gannett in my experience has always been in the upper echelon as far as management understanding of career goals, work-life balance, and being an overall inclusive environment that allows employees to take charge of initiatives up and down the chain. During and post-COVID, they really pulled ahead and are head and shoulders above their peers. It helps that they are proactive in offering competitive benefits.
Cons
If you are looking for moving within the company due to life changes, it might be hampered by their focus on growing markets where they already have an established presence, but that might be par-for-the-course in this industry.
