Pros

Super relaxed work environment. Good bonus structure (fantastic if you don't care enough- everyone gets the same %!). Enormous paid time off and employee personal life centric perks. For the quality of talent- salary ranges are great (many would have difficulty competing in the real world). No direction from leadership- works out great for the rest as there's absolutely no accountability for pretty much anything- Translation, you can sloth your way to retirement!! The eased work environment, lets everyone put their guard down. So, you don't have some of the inter-employee competitive forces at work- Translation, you get to work with some great human beings. Hard to find that kind of a bond among co-workers.

Cons

If you're 5-10 years away from retirement, this is the place to be. But, if you desire more fulfillment from your career, it's going to be hard- not from a work environment perspective, but from a knowledge enrichment and overall career development perspective. There's no pressure on many departments, as the leadership lacks the big picture direction setting ability. Everything is set and done on a daily basis- pretty much. Matter of fact, the leadership professes being chill about everything you're doing. Besides that, the VPs and AVPs are old timers. They want to enjoy their smooth perks and ease into retirement. New ideas and better way of doing things are highly discouraged within all tiers of leadership. This is no way to behave for a major auto captive- I give it a few years of good run, and market forces will make their survival uncomfortable, if not difficult. Car loans are NOT as difficult to make as they make it sound. All in all, the skill sets you bring to the table are going to be wasted away if you stay there more than 2 years.
