Extreme burnout. The company demands on average 10 hours a day, but more often 12. Mandatory overtime has employees working 6 days, and sometimes even 7 days in a row- which, depending on normally scheduled days off, can lead to 10+ days of work in a row, all 10-12 hours, before the next day off.
You’ll get very little help from management, as not only are techs understaffed, so are managers. Often times a single manager will be attempting to help 20+ techs all at the same time. Look forward to times when texts simply won’t be answered, or calls received / returned. Often times it feels like managers are being ground down even harder than techs. In its current state, these industries are losing techs at a higher and higher rate, putting pressure on remaining techs to pick up the slack and driving even higher levels of burnout.
You will have no work life balance- Ziply Fiber in particular has zero empathy in this regard and will demand mandatory 7 day overtime and 12+ hour days.
