      Poor Scheduling

      If they took you on permanently, you earned commission

      Cons

      Leasing consultants in my office were asked to work 11 days on and 3 days off, always. Few people working there had been properly trained. Management did not know many of the basic policies. Still worked heavily in paper documents. Files were misplaced often.

      Pros

      Depending on the community you work in there is good potential for decent earnings for entry level employees. As a Leasing Consultant there is opportunity to move up to Assistant Manager or Property Manager. Decent benefits and time off.

      Cons

      Not a ton of direction from the corporate office. It is up to you to figure out benefits, policies, time off, etc. As a Leasing Consultant you have to deal with a lot of difficult residents. This job is meant for people with tough skin. Not necessarily a dig on the company more on the position.

      Shared retention bonus. Good health/dental. Great training (pre-covid). Easy to move up in the company. Reduced rent for employees.

      Cons

      Due to covid-19 our annual training classes have been canceled.
