Unsure of future, lacking in pipeline, frequent layoffs and reorganization, no loyalty to high performers during difficult times, loss of revenue

Layoffs, poor moral and malfeasance. Never have I worked at a place where the motto " The beatings will continue until moral improves" was more accurate. During several meeting we were told as a department," yes things are getting worse, if you don't like it here leave". Unfortunately pay was too good to leave until I like everyone eventually was laid off. In 8 years there I know of 2 people who retired when they were not laid off. Granted I did not know everyone, but retirements were real news.
