Pros

Gainsight is a fast growing technology company that has all of the plusses and minuses that go with that type of business... except on the plus side of the equation. On the plus side, Gainsight does some things that frankly blow me away. Benefits are amazing but the HR team don't settle with just offering great benefits, they make sure everyone is getting the most out of them which is amazing. They also do some great things to make remote employees feel part of the culture and team. They have such a strong focus on their culture and Core Values, even with the exponential growth everyone in the teams are amazing to work with.

Cons

At times, things change so quickly it's easy to feel 'out of the loop' but the initiatives to improve communication and org structure are quickly minimizing this.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Nice to hear that the "plus side of the equation" blows you away. We will try to keep our bar high. BTW, I agree that simplicity is genius. Plenty of room for us to get better at boiling ideas, communication, etc. down to their simplest form.

Pros

-Leadership team genuinely cares about you as a person - and you can tell (especially the CEO) -Competitive pay -Flexible on working from home or working from the office -Amazing people across the entire company -Incredible product roadmap with compelling features released regularly

Cons

Gainsight will constantly push you. Frequently it'll past the stretching point and you feel like you're going to snap. You have to set personal boundaries stick to them so you don't burn out quickly (and this is nearly impossible cause everyone asks for exceptions *all the time*). Working closely with India teammates is both challenging and rewarding - on the one hand, timezone conflicts result in many early morning or late night calls which destroys work/life balance, but on the other hand they're great people and I've learned a lot from working with them. This plus the high targets we have to hit quarter over quarter leaves little time for personal development, staying on top of monthly product releases and new products, and developing relationships with colleagues that you don't directly work with.

Pros

The people at Gainsight really care about the company and the other people. The company has its foot on the accelerator, which promotes both individual and company-wide growth. It's been great to see how happy people are and how much everyone values their work.

Cons

A lot of the people work in India, and I wish we had more interaction with our international employees.
