Pros

Community, people, mission are all great - the program has a true purpose and everything is dedicated to giving the campers the best experience possible.

Cons

Pay is pretty fair but felt somewhat understaffed. Long hours and can be taxing emotionally.

Pros

Fun, you become really close with coworkers, really focused on helping you achieve personal growth

Cons

Very low pay, however people who take a job at Galileo are doing it for the experience more so than the money.

Pros

The curriculum is really cool. The staff was really supportive and I made friends with a lot of my coworkers. Galileo does a much better job supporting employees than any other company I've worked for. Particularly for staff that aren't full time teachers during the school year, they provided a lot of encouragement and support. It was a generally positive and gratifying experience!

Cons

I worked at multiple sites this summer and the experience can vary pretty drastically depending on the staff/camp director. There were occasionally campers with special needs, which could be challenging since there were no special trainings or aides. The pay isn't bad (depending on the position), but I do think they should pay somewhat better. The position is A LOT of work, and it would have been nice to be better compensated.
