Pros

As a new office manager helping integrate a Gallagher partner, I feel supported and like there is enough process to where I'm comfortable but not so much where I feel stifled. Internal Service teams are helpful and experienced, I never feel like I'm bothering anyone when I ask a question. Gallagher's AR and AP systems are efficient and not too difficult to work with.

Cons

Gallagher's benefits are a joke in a competitive metro like the SF Bay Area. 2 weeks vacation and $120 a month for employee-only high-deductible health insurance is below-market on the coasts. Given Gallagher's continued growth, it should focus on making working for Gallagher more rewarding.

Pros

The Company is likable enough and has some talented people. It is also successful.

Cons

The company lacks camaraderie and atmosphere and is a dull work environment. They do not believe in giving pay raises and promotions which results in huge staff turnover and a flight of talent. The path to promotion can be blocked by managers who play favorites and promote their favorites instead of basing such decisions on ability or merit. Technological advancement may result in your job function largely being performed by someone located in a Service Center in India.
