Pros

Salary is very negotiable. They need long term employees. Benefits are decent. Remote work is available.

Cons

claims process is dictated by the client and is more driven by useless required Entries than claims workflow. Claims results are not measured. Things such as closure, negotiations and investigation is useless. Rather there are time sensitive required, redundant useless notes that take too much time and cause you to fall behind. Middle management is useless and does not support employees. Training is inadequate and difficult to retain as you are basically read to. There is zero team work.

Pros

Work remote. My supervisor was great. If you have a decent client and a good supervisor, your job is tolerable. They are pretty relaxed on vacation days and sick days. They do have a company that keeps track of your licensing status, renewals, CE deadlines. Very helpful

Cons

Very heavy caseload. File reviews with the clients that can take hours, while you are still receiving your full load of claims, mail, phone calls . Computer system is outdated and we have outages very frequently. Pay for existing adjusters (pre pandemic) are far less than new hires. Little resources available. Which is challenging when you are handling all aspects of a claim, in all 50 states.

Pros

You can work remotely with a flex schedule that allows you to have one week day every other week off.

Cons

There is a major disconnect between upper level management and the teams actually working with clients and customers. The company also puts the needs and well-being of their clients above their employees. Employees are constantly asked and expected to take on more job responsibilities and integrate policies that are time consuming but do not add value. There are very limited opportunities for promotions or career advancement. Employees are not offered competitive salaries and raises or opportunities to make more money are very minimal.
