Management is mostly former engineers, so they can relate to developers well and want to build cool products. Fantastic benefits. People stick around for a long time, so there's good continuity and lots of knowledge available to new hires.
Cons
Management is mostly former engineers, so they get out over their skis sometimes and fall short on the more business/people management side of things. Pay is lower than industry average. People stick around for a long time, so career advancement opportunities (i.e. breaking into management) can require a lot of patience.
