      Pros

      The company will be around for a long time, so you can count on a stable paycheck with modest increases over the years. They survived the financial crisis with no layoffs in engineering. Company just celebrated 30 years in business.

      Cons

      Top engineers can make more money elsewhere. More VPs than top tier software engineers. Can be difficult to get promoted. Sometimes extra effort is not appreciated.

      Pros

      -Great benefits. Medical premiums are very low. You won't find a better 401k. 45% off Garmin Products. Laid back work culture. Very nice employees. Starbucks on campus. Great perks. They rent out worlds of fun for family events. etc.

      Cons

      No summer hours or 9/80 work schedule offered. However, managers are very flexible if needed to go to kids dr appts, school events, etc. I can safely say I have never worked in a better environment than Garmin. Keep doing what you are doing.
