Pros

There were some good basic benefits at Garmin. Many of the people were great to work with and committed to doing the best job possible.

Cons

The departments are very fragmented and communication from top to bottom is limited. Overall morale is very weak. Benefits are good, but not as valuable as implied for all employees. Pay is not competitive.

Pros

Good salary, lots of perks, fun/laid back work environment.

Cons

Tough jobs, but so is any support job. Some engineers that have never really had a bad job think this one is horrible. Its funny, they usually leave for more money then come back a year later after dealing with an employer that doesn't care as much as we does
