Pros

Your intelligence is reassured. The people around you know what they're talking about, so you know that any of your questions can be answered. As an engineer, you're given a lot of responsibility, and you find yourself testing a lot of your own work, so you'll probably notice you'll be developing projects a lot better and more serious than what you did in college. As an intern you get to work on many parts of a product that will be released. Unlike some other companies, your hours aren't spent scripting and documenting. You'll also be put in tough situations before a product release. The best part about an internship is that by the end of your twelve weeks, you'll have a lot to add to your resume.

Cons

Food from the cafeteria is expensive. Some divisions and teams receive more respect than others.

Pros

At Garmin, we share a common vision and enthusiasm for the products and services that we develop. And what’s really great is that we all respect each other and realize that cooperative team effort and dedication are essential to the continuous growth of the company. We like to laugh, have fun and work hard. It comes easily when you work on such cool products that you can truly be proud of and work with fantastic, hard-working individuals sharing the same passion. And hey, you might even make a friend or two in the process. there are the best reasons to work here

Cons

Kansas is not the most fun state. otherwise there are no downsides.

Pros

Garmin is a fun, innovative company that does it's best to be open to progressive ideas. The work that I have done at the company has been very interesting as the GPS navigational devices market is blooming and starting to get a lot of attention. The company puts a priority on hiring very balanced employees who have technical skills, social skills, and practical skills. I feel like this helps a lot with team cohesion and in creating user focused products.

Cons

It is not very simple to transfer within the company to other business sectors. It would be great to have more R & D within the subsidiary companies of Garmin.
