Really good analyst community, aggressive sales culture.

Pros

Great daily education on trending IT topics if plugged into the right account vertical. Good networking resource and place to develop new areas of expertise.

Cons

One size fits all type of approach. Sales management lacks industry experience and most are internally groomed to run the Gartner playbook despite what the client is asking for.

Pros

Great company with so many amazing people looking to support your professional growth. For a person just getting started in a career in sales, this is the bees knees

Cons

However, if you are a tenured professional and might be a bit stuck in your ways, this type of position will be a bit much. They aren't the most diverse company either, but they are trying. They also host quarterly awards ceremonies that last hours, theme weeks we dress up for, and 'blitz days' which are prospecting days on overdrive. I get it when you are new to sales, but if you've been around the block it may take longer to get used to

Pros

Work with top-notch people in the analyst community.

Cons

Analyst role is not that different than sales assistant. You may find yourself doing more sales support than actual research. Those of us who are older and have been here for a while are used to the stack ranking but good luck getting people under the age of 40 to stick around for it.
