Pros

- If you get on a good team, this job can be amazing. - Fun environment. - Get to learn about and work with cutting edge technology companies. - Decent compensation structure. - Promotes from within. - PTO is the best I have seen. - Work/life balance is pretty good. - Gym and cafeteria on site.

Cons

- If you get on the wrong team, you are screwed and you will not be allowed to be moved to another team. - Very young staff which leads to a whole host of problems. - Promotions in many cases are given to people who are personal friends of upper management rather than top performers or peoples whose skill set it fits. - Extremely high turnover. Much like with the promotions, turnover is rarely based on performance and is usually based on whether your manager likes you. - Health benefits are not very good. - Training doesn't focus enough on what will end up being your core job functions.

Pros

Best research and advisory service out there. Supply Chain business is top notch with talented people and excellent analysts. Small business feel in that space makes leadership accessible. Supply Chain Clients are great to work with, interesting topics , very different vibe than when dealing with IT clients.

Cons

If you lose a client or lose a prospect deal no matter how hard you showed value even if nothing could have been done differently, you will be inspected and asked by at least 10 people multiple times between IT AE, IT AM, SC AM, RVP, LP and LCM and their management why you lost, what could have done different, what is your plan. It makes one question skill and ability with that level of inspection and scrutiny. Too many hands in the pot and everyone is Monday Morning Quarterback. But your win no matter how big or small is celebrated with no further discussion. De-motivating.
