Pros

Is still a somewhat respected brand

Cons

Management by inspection and threat. I was put on a "self directed performance plan" 4 months after going territory live coming out of training in Ft. Myers. This was after closing 3 large client renewals (including a globally consolidated agreement, where prior AE's had failed), which I had to then fight to get paid on, with no help from my junior manager, who was awful and terrible in front of clients. This and extreme micromanagement have led to an ongoing revolving door of Account Executives. My FLM demanded his team bcc him on all client emails.

Pros

Working with bright people, working from home , and great brand for your resume

Cons

Black box metrics that stack rank you against others with no clear deliniency of why you received a certain performance rating. Favoritism towards others is a reason behind it , not actual performance being measured. Many high tech companies have abandoned stack ranking because they realized it’s a demoralizing and very poor measure of individual performance. Gartner doesn’t think so. Also pay is sub par , raises barely keep up with Inflation. For a company making $2 billion you would think with the kind of growth they would reward employees that have made them so successful but instead it’s the other way around. This place will one day just implode due to loss of talented analysts. It’s a ticking time bomb. Metrics are bs and take away from quality of research, be more transparent in your performance review processes by getting rid of stack ranking. If Microsoft and Amazon can do it , so can you . And they’re a much bigger companies. You will lose talent and only realize once it’s too late. Pay your analyst what’s they deserve

Pros

They pay market rate if you’re hired from outside. But NOT if you get promoted from within.

Cons

Always changing direction and strategy. It’s not just about being successful and hitting your number. It’s about being politically correct within all that’s communicated to you.
