Pros

I've worked with Gateway for just a little shy of a decade, and have recently joined the team. I have never felt more welcomed, more appreciated, and more valued in a workplace. I work with incredibly smart and talented individuals, who are passionate about what they do and willing to take the time to explain what we do and how we do it. Coming from an environment where a work-life balance was flaunted as being important, it was shocking to come to Gateway where that balance is actually embraced. I truly felt like part of the team from day one. The perks are great, and the potential to grow in the company is evident by the number of people who started in entry-level positions and now are part of the leadership team. The company as a whole is very open as to where we are and where we want to be.

Cons

At times internal processes can be slow, but I think everyone is just trying to make the best product they can.

Thank you for your review and happy to hear you appreciate Gateway's work-life balance. One note about presence in the office at this time - we are quite flexible with working-from-home arrangements. While we do encourage people to work in the the office if possible, in accordance with health safety protocols of course, a majority of people are able to take advantage of the the flexibility to work at home. A few key positions are required to be in the office, but at this point no product managers are working in the office. We hope this helps explain the situation. Feel free to reach out to your manager for our human resources group if you have any questions.

Coming here was the best career decision I've made

Pros

I feel respected and appreciated for what I do, to me this is the biggest Pro there can be. The benefits are equal to or better to what I have found at other employers. Plenty of PTO and flexible scheduling to allow for work-life balance and I feel there is definitely a family first attitude.

Cons

I feel that operationally sometimes we can't get out of our own way and that there can be too many spoons in the soup. I'd also argue that there isn't enough understanding internally for what our customers go through. Of course that does also work both ways, but at the end of the day "The Customer is Always Right". These are minor critiques though and I would gladly deal with this in exchange for what I feel is the best place I have worked in my career.
