Pros

Work isn't demanding. usually relaxed environment

Cons

Geek Squad get the short end of the stick when it come to being part of a best buy store. And at least at the store I worked for. the only way to move up is to be friends with Management even if you have no knowledge of what your managing.

Pros

Geek Squad is an amazing beginner IT field to start with. It teaches you problem solving fundamentals, plenty of windows computer work and if you like helping people, when you're good you'll be able to help people incredibly well.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to get a bonus because it's based on the entire stores performance. So if geek squad (and you) preform amazingly, if the store fails as a whole you don't get a bonus. But if you're in a good location you can get good stuff.
